Interview highlights: Nina in her own words

What is the main value you would like to give your audience? It has to be something relatable to my daily life and theirs, something I believe in and can express and share with my followers.

Was becoming an influencer something you planned, or did it happen naturally? It happened naturally. Brands normally engage me when they see something similar between my lifestyle and what they are selling. In my case it's all about fun with my family, food, beauty, travel and fashion.

Your kids will probably be known by many when they grow up. What advice would you give them? I will always remind her to be kind to everyone around her and to stay grounded and humble. Being kind to others will get you a long way. There is no point in being known for something negative. People will love you for the values that shine within.

What challenges do you usually face as an influencer? Getting the right shot, because I need to make sure the brand I work with is satisfied with my posts. I give 100% to get the message across, because I truly believe in how important marketing is to a brand. I want to make sure I can direct traffic to their brand, or even better, translate it into sales.

How would you describe your daughter's personality? She is mature and cares for the people around her. She is extremely lovable and very smart, asks a lot of questions and relates very well to real-life situations. She is full of life and expression, and that is the real her, behind or in front of the camera.

Interview highlights: Jaclyn in her own words

What is the main value you would like to give your audience? I'm all for love and against hate. I stand for love and respect among everyone. I'm all about peace. These are the main things I stand for and want to give to this world.

Could you share your success journey in short? Music has been a huge part of my life since childhood. The big achievement was winning Malaysian Idol in 2004. I've been singing professionally since I was 17, I have always done what I love, and my journey has been very fulfilling. I consider myself blessed.

Your kids will probably be known by many when they grow up. What advice would you give them? People often think being an artist is nice, but there are good parts and bad parts. My children are exposed to attention, and I want them to be mentally prepared for all kinds of people who will come their way. Even if they don't go into the entertainment industry, they still need to be mentally strong to handle different situations with people.

What challenges do you usually face as an influencer? I was brought up to believe that if you don't have anything nice to say, don't say anything at all. But sometimes you feel you have to say something. People like to find something to judge, and you can never please everyone. That is the hard part.

How would you describe your kids' personalities? Both are very happy and loving, but both have a 'how far can I push' streak. They have amazing memories, and both like music and singing.

Interview highlights: Ayunda in her own words

When did you realise you were growing fast on social media, and how did you feel? My followers grew fast after I got married and started making #BezaBahasa content with my husband, comparing Bahasa Melayu and Bahasa Indonesia. Netizens love it because it's educational but fun. I'm Indonesian and have lived in Kuala Lumpur since 2011, when I came to continue my degree at UniKL.

Did you plan to become an influencer, or did it happen naturally? I didn't plan it. It happened naturally, because everyone knows my husband is a public figure, and people loved our #BezaBahasa content. Before that I joined review campaigns for well-known brands such as Wardah and Similac, and my son has been with Nestlé Lactogrow for two years, shooting with the Nestlé team for 'Cabaran si Manja bersama Nestle LACTOGROW'.

Is it hard being a mum, a wife and a social media celebrity at the same time? Not so hard. I'm busy, as I now focus on my business and take care of my clients. I manage my time, I enjoy it and I'm happy.

What is the biggest challenge of being well known on social media? There are many. Creators need to post new content every day, and sometimes we run out of ideas and have to brainstorm again. Not everyone will accept our content, so never give up and keep trying. We also face negative comments, and for me it's double the pressure because they come from both Malaysia and Indonesia. But we stay positive and spread positivity.

How would you describe your kids' personalities? Both are very active and full of energy. My son is a loving brother who always backs up his sister, and my daughter is a cute girl who loves to eat. They are both very attached to mama and daddy, but we always teach them to be independent.

Interview highlights: Aziha in her own words

What is the main value you would like to give your audience? Love, family, compassion, opportunity, benefits, awareness and work ethic.

What is your favourite part of being an influencer? I never thought I would be called an influencer, as I started as a singer on a reality TV show in 2014. My favourite part is that I get to empower people to be positive and to spread love.

Your kids always look stylish. Do you plan their outfits? It depends. Not every day, but most of the time, yes, I plan their outfits.

What challenges do you usually face as an influencer? Being an influencer comes with great responsibility. When I agree to a campaign, I have to make sure the whole process, from shooting the video to editing it, turns out great. It takes a lot of time, especially when I'm doing it alone with the kids attached to me. Luckily my husband does his part and looks after the kids whenever I work on a campaign.

How would you describe your kids' personalities? My firstborn is adorable and loving. He greets people with good manners, sits on his chair at mealtimes, says sorry over almost anything and randomly says 'I love you' every day. My second is dashing, likeable and super adventurous, and climbs and jumps just for the excitement. Both are special in their own way, and they are everything to me.

Interview highlights: Datin Seri Haflin in her own words

Can you share a short story of how you became successful? Success comes with sacrifices. Choose your struggle and focus until you get what you have targeted. You will need to persevere.

What are the benefits of being an influencer? You get to build a network and make new friends.

Is it hard being a mum, a wife and a social media celebrity at the same time? It's not hard at all if you are passionate about the role you are in. Be brave to be original.

Do you have any tips for smaller influencers? Stay true when sharing content with your audience. Be original.
